April 1, 2020In an interim rule, EOIR adds two more Board Member positions to the BIA, raising the total from 21 to 23 judges. The BIA had recently expanded in 2018, raising the total then from 17 to 21. Combined, the two rules result in six appellate judge positions being created and appointed by the Trump administration.
