April 8, 2019Attorney General Barr stated the Department of State's intent to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a "Foreign Terrorist Organization" under INA § 219. As this designation takes effect, it will be prohibited for anyone to knowingly provide material support or resources, or attempt or conspire to do so, to the IRGC. Representatives and members of the Guard, if they are noncitizens, are inadmissible to and, in certain circumstances, removable from the United States. [ID #393]
