2025.03.10 CBP launches enhanced CBP Home mobile app with new Report Departure feature

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) launched a new "CBP Home" mobile app, which includes an "Intent to Depart" feature.

"Intent to Depart" is meant to facilitate self-deportation by providing a way for unlawfully present noncitizens and people whose parole has been revoked to notify the Government of their intent to leave the United States. CBP claims that "[t]his new feature is a necessary tool to comply with the President’s Executive Order 14159, Protecting the American People Against Invasion."

Other features of the "CBP Home" app include:

      • A way to apply and pay for an I-94 up to seven days before arriving in the United States
      • A function to request inspections for perishable cargo entering the United States
      • A feature to check wait times at the border
      • A manifest submission feature for bus operators
