CBP - HR-1 Inflation Adjustments to Immigration Fees

CBP announced that it will apply inflationary adjustments to immigration fees as required by H.R.1., effective January 1, 2026. The increased fees include the fee for enrollment in the Electronic Visa Updates System (EVUS) ($30.75, up from $30), the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) fee ($40.27, up from $40), and the fee for a noncitizen paroled into the U.S. ($1,020, up from $1,000). The fee for CBP Form I-94 at land border ports of entry is unchanged. The new fees reflect a 2.70% increase calculated based on the percent change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) from July 2024 to July 2025, subject to rounding rules in OBBBA.
