COVID-19: On April 8, 2020, DOS updates this announcement by specifying that medical professionals with approved non-immigrant or immigrant visa petitions (e.g., I-129 or I-140s with current priority dates) or with a certificate of eligibility in an approved exchange visitor program (DS-2019) should request an emergency visa appointment from their nearest consulate or embassy.
