USCIS field offices will send notices to applicants and petitioners with scheduled appointments and naturalization ceremonies impacted by this closure. USCIS Temporary Office Closure - April 2020 Extension
The suspension of in person services was extended on March 25, 2020; April 1, 2020; and April 24, 2020. On May 27, USCIS announced that it will resume in-person services including naturalization ceremonies on June 4, under restrictive conditions to enable social distancing and other safety precautions. USCIS will send notices to applicants to reschedule postponed naturalization ceremonies. The ceremonies may be shorter to limit exposure to those in attendance but all legally required portions of the ceremony will take place. USCIS hosted naturalization ceremonies across the United States from July 1 through July 7.
