    The Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) designation for certain Lebanese nationals was allowed to expire on January 26, 2026. The protection, originally granted by President Biden on February 14, 2024, for a period of 18 months, was not extended. This expiration ends the protection from deportation and work authorization previously afforded to this group under the President's foreign policy authority.
