DHS issues directive on humanitarian parole

    DHS announced that on January 20, 2025, Acting DHS Secretary Benjamine Huffman issued a directive that "ends the broad abuse of humanitarian parole and returns the program to a case-by-case basis." The announcement says that "ICE and CBP will phase out any parole programs that are not in accordance with the law."
