DHS expands recordkeeping to include social media information

    DHS proposes to modify a DHS system of records titled "DHS/USCIS, ICE, CBP–001 Alien File, Index, and National File Tracking System of Records" to include records on applicants' country of nationality; country of residence; the USCIS Online Account Number; social media handles, aliases, associated identifiable information, and search results; and information regarding EOIR and BIA proceedings. DHS may track and investigate social media associated with applicants seeking to enter or stay in the United States. [ID #864]
