2024.10.01 Harmonization of the Fees and Application Procedures for the Global Entry

On October 1, 2024, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) changed its regulations regarding Global Entry and Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection (SENTRI), making the application fees uniform at $120 each (NEXUS was set at the same level but requires a slightly different type of rulemaking). It also changed the fee payment schedule for SENTRI from three payments at separate stages to one non-refundable application fee at the time of submission. Additional regulations were put in place for both programs.

DHS announced this final rule on April 2, 2024.
