October 21, 2020DOS issues a notice of proposed rulemaking that would eliminate B-1 visas for certain individuals classifiable as H-1B or H-3 nonimmigrants. Currently, certain persons classifiable as H-1B or H-3 nonimmigrants can instead receive a B-1 visa, referred to as the "B-1 in lieu of H" policy.
