Original Date Announced
June 9, 2020Members of the Board of Immigration Appeals appointed prior to the Trump administration have been “reassigned” to appellate immigration judge positions -- after they rejected a recent buyout offer from the Department of Justice. The judges' reassignment from their Senior Level (SL) positions as Board Members reduces their salary and their leave eligibility and makes it possible to assign trial level cases to them.
