DOJ proposes changes to cancellation of removal forms, Form EOIR-42A and EOIR-42B

    DOJ seeks to make several substantive changes to Form EOIR–42A, Application for Cancellation of Removal for Certain Permanent Residents; and Form EOIR–42B, Application for Cancellation of Removal and Adjustment of Status for Certain Nonpermanent Residents. Among other things, DOJ has added a new question asking applicants to provide their education history to Form EOIR-42A and EOIR-42B. [ID #207]

      OMB approves information collect request

      OMB approved this information collection request (without change). DOJ has not, however, released the newest versions of Form EOIR-42A and EOIR-42B which encompass the approved changes. Instead, the form versions revised in July 2016 are still permitted to be utilized by applicants. View Document
