DOJ sues Orange County, CA registrar over refusal to provide voting records

    The Department of Justice (DOJ) sued the Registrar of Voters of Orange County, California, alleging that the Registrar is violating the Help America Vote Act and the National Voter Registration Act by refusing to provide the federal government with information on non-citizens removed from voter rolls due to their citizenship status. The complaint request an order that the Registrar turn over records including unredacted copies of each voter registration application, voting history, and related correspondence for each noncitizen removed from the voting rolls. United States v. Page, No. 8:25-cv-01370 (C.D. Cal.).
