EO 14161 §§ 2(b) and 2(c) direct agencies to identify countries from which to suspend admissions and prioritize the removal of individuals from those countries

    Sections 2(b) and 2(c) of Presidential EO 14161 "Protecting the United States From Foreign Terrorists or Other National Security and Public Safety Threats" direct the the Secretary of State, Secretary of Homeland Security, and Director of National Intelligence to report within 60 days on identification of countries where screening information is “so deficient” as to warrant suspension of admission of their nationals, pursuant to INA § 212(f). The agencies also are directed to identify the number of people from those countries who have been admitted since January 20, 2021, and exclude or remove anyone so identified where information would support that action.
