  1. Original Date Announced

    March 14, 2025

DOJ's Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) submitted an information collection request to OMB allowing for a 60-day notice and request for comments period regarding proposed revisions to Form EOIR-31A, “Request by Organization for Accreditation or Renewal of Accreditation of Non-Attorney Representative.” This form allows the Assistant Director for Policy to recognize organizations which are able to then seek partial or full accreditation of their representative(s) to practice before EOIR and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in compliance with 8 CFR 1292.12, 1292.13(a).

EOIR seeks to make non-substantive changes to the current Form EOIR-31A, including revising the form’s Privacy Act notice; adding the expiration date for OMB approval to the form; updating the address to which applications can be submitted; and adding "an alternative method by which applications can be submitted."

Comments will be accepted until May 13, 2025.
