EOIR proposes new Form EOIR-59 to allow for the release of records

    EOIR seeks comments on a proposed new Form EOIR-59, Certification and Release of Records, which will allow parties who are, or were, in proceedings before EOIR to disclose or release their records to an attorney, accredited representative, qualified organization, or other third party. EOIR indicates that this information collection is necessary to prevent unauthorized disclosure of records of individuals maintained by DOJ. A 60-day notice and comment period is provided.
