Reported: ICE begins notifying attorneys when their clients are transferred between detention facilities

    According to the American Immigration Lawyers Association, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will now send attorneys, EOIR-accredited representatives, and law students automatic notifications when their clients are transferred to a new detention facility. they will also be provided with information about the location of the new facility.

    However, no notification will be provided if a client leaves a facility or arrives at a new facility designed to only hold people for under 72 hours.
