Reported: Trump administration slashes anti-human trafficking efforts across multiple agencies

    The Guardian reports that federal anti-human trafficking efforts have been sharply reduced across multiple agencies. At DHS, agents once focused on trafficking were redirected to immigration enforcement, while the State Department cut more than 70% of staff in its anti-trafficking office and delayed grants to nonprofits. The administration also withheld the legally required annual human-trafficking report to Congress, despite it being completed.
