      The United States Imposes Sanctions and Visa Restrictions China Xinjiang

      On July 9, 2020, the Secretary of State designated three senior CCP officials under section 7031(c) of the FY 2020 Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Appropriations Act, barring those individuals and their immediate family members from entry into the United States. The Secretary justifies such restrictions in light of CCP officials' complicity in the abuse of Uyghurs, ethnic Kazakhs, and members of other minority groups in Xinjiang. View Document
