Reported: South Sudan rescinds its decision to deny a deportee entry after the US revokes visas - Washington Post
The Washington Post reports that South Sudan has accepted a Congolese national deported from the United States and initially denied entry to South Sudan "'in the spirit of maintaining friendly relations' between South Sudan and the U.S.."
The Post reports that the South Sudanese government decried Secretary Rubio's visa revocations as unfair because South Sudan was legitimately refusing to accept an individual that had "illegally used the travel documents of a South Sudanese national" but was actually Congolese. South Sudan asserts that it has cooperated in accepting deported South Sudanese nationals in all other cases.
