State Dept. considers amending regulation to include medical examinations for all K Visa applicants

    DOS plans to amend its regulation to codify a requirement that all K visa applicants, including K-3 applicants, undergo a medical examination. Further amendments would allow DOS and CDC to identify groups of nonimmigrant visa applicants that require medical examinations via separate public notice. [ID #711]

Pre Trump-Era Policies

  • November 18, 2018 Existing regulations do not require medical examinations for all K visa applicants, only for fiances of U.S. citizens and their children (K-1s).
