September 29, 2020USCIS requests comments on proposed substantive and non-substantive revisions to Form I-134, Declaration of Financial Support. The name of the form will be changed from “Affidavit of Support” to “Declaration of Financial Support” to avoid confusion with Form I-864. In addition, USCIS proposes to add new questions relating to the beneficiary's financial information and to expand the statement and certification sections, among other things. USCIS is proposing that certain individuals applying for parole based on urgent humanitarian reasons or significant public benefit filed on Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, must submit Form I-134 with Form I-131. The Form I-134 may also be filed on behalf of a B, F, or M nonimmigrant requesting extension of stay or change of status. [ID #1074]
