2025.03.10 Reported: CBP closes temporary centralized processing center in Donna, TX - CBS 4 News Rio Grande Valley
CBS 4 News Rio Grande Valley reports CBP has closed the temporary Centralized Processing Center built in 2021 in Donna, TX "because of current low migrant crossings." The tent facility was meant to be temporary "while renovations were made on the main Border Patrol station in McAllen," but instead lasted four years and was "the epicenter for migrant processing." A CBP spokesperson said "CBP plans to keep open only two soft-sided tent processing facilities along the Southwest border in El Paso and San Diego."
