DHS extends Temporary Protected Status for Lebanon

    DHS published a notice stating that the designation of Lebanon for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which was set to expire on May 27, 2026, is automatically extended through November 27, 2026. The notice states that "[r]apidly unfolding events in Lebanon in March 2026 impacted the Department's ability to conduct a thorough review of prevailing country conditions for the Secretary's timely consideration and determination" as to whether Lebanon continues to meet the conditions for TPS designation.

    Existing TPS beneficiaries retain TPS through November 27, 2026. The extension automatically extends the validity of Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) previously issued under the TPS designation of Lebanon through November 27, 2026.
