DHS moves $155M from disaster relief to immigration enforcement

    DHS announces plans to divert $271 million from various DHS accounts to ICE, including $155 million from FEMA in federal disaster aid in order to operate Migrant Protection Protocol immigration hearing facilities on the Southern border. Similarly, $116 million from other DHS agencies will be diverted to fund ICE adult detention beds and transportation. [ID #423]
