DOS changes guidance for B-1 Visa eligiblity for noncitizens seeking E-2 or EB-5 visas.

    DOS revises Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM): (1) Revising 9 FAM 402.2 to specify that noncitizen seeking investment in the U.S., including an investment that would qualify for E-2 investor status, is not ineligible for a B visa on that basis alone, and noncitizen pursuing EB-5 immigrant visa may be issued a B visa to examine or monitor potential qualifying investments as long as he/she separately qualifies for B visa. (2) updating 9 FAM 203.6 to change reference from Form DS-2053 to Form DS-2054. [ID #557]
