DOS maintained the designation of various organizations and individuals as terrorists, including: ISIL-Sinai Province (and Other Aliases), Lashkar i Jhangvi (and Other Aliases), Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (and Other Aliases), Jaysh Rijal al-Tariq al Naqshabandi (and Other Aliases), Jama'atu Ansarul Muslimina Fi Biladis-Sudan (Ansaru and Other Aliases), Harakat ul-Mujahidin (and Other Aliases), al-Nusrah Front (and Other Aliases), Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (and Other Aliases), Continuity Irish Republican Army (and Other Aliases), the National Liberation Army (and Other Aliases), and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (and Other Aliases).

DOS also newly designated certain organizations and individuals as terrorists, including: Harakat Sawa'd Misr (and Other Aliases), Fuad Ahmad Nuri Ali al-Shakhan (effective date January 6, 2021, rather than December 22, 2020), Isma'il Fu'ad Rasul Ahmed (effective date January 6, 2021, rather than December 22, 2020), Muhammad Abbatay (effective date January 6, 2021, rather than December 22, 2020), and Sultan Yusuf Hasan al-`Arif (effective date January 6, 2021, rather than December 22, 2020).
