EOIR data shows increase in removal orders in first six months of the Trump Administration

    EOIR releases data on orders of removal, voluntary departures, and final decisions for the first six months of the Trump administration, covering the period of February 1 to July 31, 2017.

    EOIR claims there have been:

    • 49,983 orders of removal, up 27.8% over the same time period in 2016 (39,113)
    • 57,069 orders of removal and voluntary departures, up 30.9% over the same time period in 2016 (43,595)
    • 73,127 total final decisions, up 14.5% over the same time period in 2016 (63,850). [ID #862]
