Commentary

  • Judge rules immigration officials must turn over documents on Scarborough facility

In response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, a federal court ordered ICE to release records pertaining to the Scarborough, Maine facility. Citing the ongoing litigation, an ICE spokesperson declined to answer questions about the facility's purpose or whether it was currently in operation, but while it is not listed on ICE ERO's website as a detention facility, it is listed as a "check-in location" for the Boston Field Office.
