Reported: State Department to revoke tourist and business visas for persons who claimed asylum

    The Washington Post reports that Department of State is coordinating with DHS to identify individuals who entered the United States on business and tourist (B1 and B2) visas between 2016 and 2026 and then filed for asylum, intending to stay permanently. DOS explained that it would revoke an unspecified number of visas on a "rolling basis" but did not state what would happen to pending asylum claims.
