Reports: ICE turns to CBP for extra detention space

    News reports indicate that ICE facilities in San Diego, lacking enough space for the number of individuals detained, have transferred individuals awaiting their immigration cases to CBP custody. An ongoing lawsuit alleges that CBP's detention facilities, equipped for short-term detention only, are inadequate for the task. [ID #351]
