State Department requires Confucius Institute U.S. to provide list of Chinese citizens

    Pursuant to the Foreign Missions Act (22 U.S.C. 4301 et. seq.), Acting Director Clifton Seagroves of the State Department's Office of Foreign Missions designated the Confucius Institute U.S. Center as a foreign mission and required it, among other things, to provide a list of People's Republic of China citizens who are in the U.S. with the Confucius Institute since 2016, along with their current citizenship and visa status.
