USCIS has proposed revisions to the forms and filing instructions previously revised by the Trump administration as highlighted in this entry: I–600; I–600A; I–600/I–600A Supplement 1; I–600/I–600A Supplement 2. Proposed changes to both 1-600 and 1-600A indicate that USCIS will no longer automatically require a biometrics appointment for applicants, their spouses, and other adult members in their households. Instead, USCIS will determine if a biometrics appointment is necessary to verify the applicant's identity or obtain more information, and will then reach out and notify the applicant it if is required. I-600 has also been revised to allow applicants to request an exemption from submitting an Orphan Beneficiary’s Affidavit of Support as per Section 213A of the INA.
