U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia pauses processing of U-visa certifications

    The Washington Post reports that the U.S. Attorney's Office in D.C. stopped routinely processing U-visa certifications without explanation starting at least in March 2025. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, who became U.S. attorney for D.C. in May 2025, reversed the policy in August 2025 after learning about the practice.
